Purpose
Saints Cosmas and Damian Health Sciences College is dedicated to educating the public on the qualifications and licensure standards of health care professionals, such as physicians and surgeons, pharmacists, with the goal of reducing confusion about titles and credentials. The College fosters greater understanding and transparency regarding the equivalency between US- and Canadian-trained professionals and their international counterparts.
Mission
Educate the public on the qualifications, licensure standards, and specialty certifications of physicians, surgeons, pharmacists, and other health care professionals to reduce confusion surrounding their credentials.
Promote the accepted equivalency between U.S.-trained and board-eligible MDs, DOs, and similarly qualified health care professionals, as well as between U.S.- and Canadian-educated pharmacists with different entry-level degrees.
Establish a credible and accredited platform for the assessment and verification of professional credentials to ensure the highest standards of competence and professionalism and increase access to competent health care professionals.
